The Puppy Plan

Getting a new puppy can be a minefield, and that’s even before they come home. Picking the right breed for your lifestyle then picking the right breeder , buying the right stuff and setting your home up can be challenging.

Our puppy plan can be started even before you choose a puppy or it can begin when they come home.

Setting our pups up for success right from the get go is a massive part in helping them become well rounded dogs.

Prevention is key!

Often we don’t think about behavioural problems until they are happening, the best way to deal with them is by actually preventing them in the first place. We do this by giving you puppy guardians as much information to help you understand your dogs, good socialisation and teaching them lots of life skills.

Our plan is based solely on a 1:1 basis, where we come to you. However if you would like to attend a puppy class while working with me, I have a couple of very good class recommendations.

  • Session 1- pre arrival: Our pre arrival session is all about getting everything ready, asking all those daunting questions and going through the principle of socialising your puppy and what it involves. We will also look at toilet training, what to expect in the first week and anything that may be relevant to your lifestyle. If you have already brought your puppy home, then we can just add in another training session tailored to your pups needs throughout the plan.

  • Session 2- Welcome home!: Your puppies home and is starting to settle into their new life and routine. You probably have had many questions come up that you need help with. We will look at enrichment, feeding, sleeping and start looking at implementing training games.

  • Session 3- The world is a big place: The outside world can be a daunting place for our puppies, we want to make sure we are setting them up for success and preventing any future problems. We will get out and about and look at how our puppies feel about the world around them. We will also start looking at loose lead walking and putting some of the training games in practice.

  • Session 4- practice, practice, and more practice: Letting our dogs off the lead is super scary, everyone wants a dog who has great recall and can be off the lead to play and adventure but come back to us when we need it. So its important that we start working on recall training when our dogs are young.

  • Session 5-  Graduation Day: This is where we go over anything you aren’t sure on, answer any questions and go over things to focus on and look out for as we come up to the teenage phase. But don’t forget, your training journey doesn’t end there but hopefully you will have had a great start for both you and your puppy.

Throughout the training sessions we will be covering name recognition, focus and engagement work, socialisation, life skills, jumping up, puppy biting, resource guarding prevention, recall, loose lead walking, impulse control and many other things.

We will work through other aspects of your puppies life including enrichment, understanding your dog through body language, equipment, feeding and more.

The Puppy Plan costs £225.00 which includes 5 x 1 hour training sessions…

If that’s not enough… you also get WhatsApp support with any questions in between sessions as well as access to a Google drive where you will have all the information at your finger tips.

Our puppy plan includes everything you’ll need to set yourselves up for success to start your lives together.
